CLASS 40 TEAM WORK finished TRANSAT JACQUES VABRE at the 4th position ! Congrat's !

What a race!

After a  slow start to Ouessant and a nice descent to Dieppe after passing Walf Rock, the sailors had to keep patience at their side and use their last forces to make their way through a tight fleet from start to finish .

Congratulations to Erwan Tabarly who finished 19th in the final step and 24th in the overall standings, with only 9h 3mn 43sec behind de winner, despite his abandon at the 1st step cause a broken arrow.

Congratulations also to Pierre leboucher who finished 11th and who takes the 15th place of the general ranking and the 2nd place of the bizuth ranking.

Thank you both for this beautiful adventure you have shared with us !

It is after 21 hours of racing that our skippers equipped Technique Voile have crossed the finish line.

Erwan Tabarly takes 12th place and Pierre Leboucher arrives 23rd (4th bizuth).

Surprisingly, these are the only 2 sailors to have skirted Belle Ile by the south, an option that did not pay off.

But they fought well during the climb to Concarneau, allowing them to climb in the first half of the ranking.

This morning the team of the floor makes the new sails of "Caroline", a 50-foot lateen schooner, classified Patrimonial Iterest Ship.

Erwan Tabarly was forced to give up on the first leg as a result of a spreader damage. After a very good race start, in the leading group, he reported his abandonment Monday night. He is now back at Les Sables d'Olonnes.

We sincerely hope that our skipper will find the way to repair and join the group in Spain to start the second stage. More info to come.

 

Concerning our bizuth Pierre Leboucher, he is in 11th position overall and first bizuth at only 7.5 nm!

This Tuesday, April 25th, we went to meet our two skippers. We followed them before the departure, on the water and at the arrival!

It was in the rain but with the smile that we met Erwan and Pierre, both competitors of this event.

After filmed their impressions before the race, we went to encourage them on the water aboard the press boat.

It didn’t make doubt but both champions offered us a magnificent show!

It of under a beautiful sun that took “La Lorient BSM 2017” and that our crew Technique Voile, with Frédéric Duthil and Germain Kerlevéo, took the third place in the category boat series with a whole new set of  Technique Voile very successful.

On the occasion of 30 years of "APM", in this first weekend of July, the director Frédéric Duthil sailed on a muscadet equipped completely Technique Voile.

On the occasion of 30 years of "APM", in this first weekend of July, the director Frédéric Duthil sailed on a muscadet equipped completely Technique Voile.

Only 50 seconds from Adrien Hardy, Erwan crossed the finish line in Concarneau, in second position.

The competitors offered us a very good race and did not gave up on this 2nd leg. Since Gijon, they sail head-to-head, but very quickly 3 groups were formed.

Erwan, in the leading group since the start, has gradually moved up from the 5th to the 1st place until 10 miles from the finish ...

Pierre Leboucher has stabilized at the 31st place and finished this 2nd leg only 1 hour after the first!

Nice sailing conditions for the 14th edition of the 100 miles et une nuit Cerap trophy organized by the Yacht club of Dinard.

Nice sailing conditions for the 14th edition of the 100 miles et une nuit Cerap trophy organized by the Yacht club of Dinard.

The race run by 12 to 15 knots of wind from West to North West, proved to be very tactical during the climb to the low buoy Blanchard in Sark, while the return will be a long reaching to the buoy South West Minquiers, then under spinnaker until arrival.

Congratulations to the veiled Technique Voile competitors who shined in this event.

In Multihull, victory of the catamaran Lerouge Dire Straits of Antoine Montsifrot, entirely veiled TV.

In IRC Scratch, nice second place for the Norlin 37 China girl, led by our commercial Marc Noel and Loïc Le Dréau

François René Carluer, on his new JPK 1080 Agence Directe finished in the Sixth place and 1st IRC 1.

See you soon for the next regattas in the English Channel, the Morgan cup this weekend, the Régate des Zèbres and the double-handed Trophy des Minquiers later in June.

This great race looked delicate, the fault in disrupted weather conditions and therefore very unstable, but also to strong currents and of many areas of transitions, and the least that can be said is that it kept all its promises. "This round was rather difficult tactically. Shortly after the departure, the wind has gone a bit in all directions and the first portion to “L’île de Ré” wasn’t obvious. I didn’t go out there moreover very well but then, on the near by in the breeze that we made along the island, I pulled the right side and I was able to get back to the front row", explained Erwan, who also realized a very beautiful operation, during the last night, by succeeding in doubling Sebastien Simon, raising itself, so, on the second place. "At one point, during two or three hours, it became very complex, with a transition zone. There was a period of softness and I took the advantage by being slightly shifted further off than my opponent", said the “Fouesnantais” who has no longer given up his place.

“I am satisfied to finish second. Also satisfied with the way I led my race. It was important for me to navigate well on this great stage because it’s very similar to what awaits us on “La Solitaire”. I was disappointed in my first two days of racing. The weather was pretty capricious  and I never managed to be in the right tempo. Nevertheless it’s not very serious. The objective, for me, was, above all to be good on the big loop ", underlined the skipper of Armor-Lux which so strengthens his confidence before” La Solitaire URGO - Le Figaro” whose kick-off is scheduled in hardly more than a month." It was an ideal race to get ready for the deadline", noted Erwan, not unhappy not to stay on three sleeves in halftone." I’m sailing two second places on two big stages, this one and the one run in “La Solo Concarneau”, three weeks ago. That puts me in a good dynamics. I was also able to see that my new sails walked well and it gives me confidence in my speed. I’m in the blow and it's for the best ", concluded Erwan Tabarly.

From 19 to 26 April, Technique Voile will be represented by 2 of our sailors: Pierre Chedeville and Tom Dolan at the Pornichet Select 6.50.
